This two year programme will give committed graduates who are wishing to pursue a career in local government, the opportunity to explore key strategic issues facing the city and to make a positive impact with the communities of Leeds.
The role is project based and offers the combination of being part of a directorate project team as well as working on cross Council projects which engage directly with communities and partners.
The programme is rotational, so you could be placed in any directorate/service area within the organisation and could be located at any of our sites within the city. You will have the opportunity to experience a minimum of two placements in contrasting areas of the Council during the programme.
You will enjoy a variety of experiences, develop an enormous breadth of skills and build relationships that will stay with you throughout your career.
The graduate development programme includes a structured induction, training opportunities and tailored graduate events to enhance your development. You will have access to a network of support through your graduate buddy, as well as mentoring and careers coaching to support you to develop a rewarding career in local government.
